Cassie Goodman

Vice President of Operations

During her time as a dance instructor, Cassie discovered her true passion: helping individuals grow and achieve their goals. She brought that objective with her to Wise Choices Financial, LLC, where she strives to do the same for our clients.

Cassie was born in Bamberg, Germany, while her father served in the United States Army. Upon returning to the states, she was raised in a small town close to Fort Riley, Kansas. She has spent many years volunteering her time with local organizations, including nursing homes, schools and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also heavily involved with the dance studio that she had attended since the second grade, eventually teaching there for five years.

In December 2018, Cassie married her best friend, Chris. They recently moved to the Kansas City area and are still settling into their first home together in Blue Springs, Missouri. Cassie and Chris are proud "parents" to their dog, Zeus, and two cats, Rory and Luna. In her spare time, Cassie enjoys baking, playing board games and spending time with her friends and family.

Steve Ford

Vice President of Medicare Insurance Sales

As an agent at Wise Choices Financial, LLC, Steve helps support individuals with their specific insurance needs through a people-first approach.

Steve grew up on a farm in Wilson, Kansas, with his parents, Steve and Sherry, and his brother and sister, Sasha and Stacy. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kansas State University in 2012, Steve spent the next seven years as a general manager for the largest coffee retailer in the United States. He currently holds licenses in life and health insurance in Kansas and Missouri.

In an effort to give back to his community, Steve has taught job readiness courses at Kansas City Public Schools and volunteered his time with Harvesters, the Alzheimer’s Association and Midwest Animal ResQ.

Steve married the love of his life, Amanda, in May 2015. They relocated to Kansas City that October and live there with their three dogs, Brodie, Maisie and Puppy. When he’s not helping clients, Steve most enjoys following Kansas City and Kansas State sports (EMAW!) and playing guitar and piano. He still makes time to visit the family farm.

Jocelyn Contreras

Social Media Marketing Specialist

A Los Angeles native, Jocelyn moved to the Kansas City/Independence area when she was six. She grew up helping her parents at their family-owned Mexican restaurant and convenience store, The Plaza Market and Restaurant, located on the Englewood Plaza in Independence.

Jocelyn attended Northwest Missouri State University (Go Bearcats!) and graduated in the spring of 2019 with a degree in communications and an emphasis in public relations. She found her love for all things creative when she was hired as multimedia editor at The Northwest Missourian, the campus newspaper. She covered the national championship football team and traveled to all games to film highlight videos and report on the postgame press conference. She then worked for Northwest’s marketing department as the social media intern, where she got to manage all of Northwest’s social media presence and even dressed up as the mascot, Bobby Bearcat, for creative marketing content.

Jocelyn stays involved in the marketing community as a member of the Kansas City Advertising Club. She volunteers her time and skills on the board for the Public Service Committee, which helps local nonprofit organizations with free marketing and advertising work. Outside of work, Jocelyn enjoys watching Kansas City sports, crafting, painting and hanging out with friends, family and her cat, Milo.

Pat Clark

Pat joined our group as an insurance agent focusing on Medicare insurance needs.

She was born on July 4 and our country celebrates her birthday every year with big displays of fireworks and good food. Pat and her brother grew up in Jasonville, Indiana, where her father was pastor of a nearby country church. Life wasn’t always easy — she still remembers the outhouse and wash tub baths.

It was while attending Central Bible College (CBC), in Springfield, Missouri, that she met her future husband, Ron. They were married in 1966. After two children and several moves, she returned to CBC to complete her bachelor’s degree in Christian education in 1976. Pat helped Ron with various types of church leadership activities in several different parts of the country, and in 1991, they moved to Kansas City. When Chick-fil-A came to the area in 2008, Pat worked as an opening manager for her son-in-law’s store in Independence.

Pat and Ron, who recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary, have three children: Chrystal, Ron Jr. and Andy. They also have six grandchildren and one dog. When Pat is not helping our team, she enjoys volunteering at her church working with preschool children.
